SIARELCO extends its heartfelt appreciation to all its Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs), both online registrants and physical attendees, and esteemed guests who generously supported, actively participated in, and graced the Cooperative’s 34th Annual General Membership Assembly yesterday, 04 November 2023 with the theme, “Marking the Legacy of Rural Electrification: Elevating EC Contribution in National Sustainable Development.”
The event was graced by Atty. Omar M. Mayo, Deputy Administrator of Electric Cooperative Management Services of the National Electrification Administration (NEA) who served as the Speaker of the said Assembly. He higlighted the importance of the MCOs’ participation to SIARELCO’s endeavors towards rural electrification. Likewise, Atty. Mayo commended the exemplary leadership Cong/GM Sergio C. Dagooc and his valuable contributions in the amendments of EPIRA to be more responsive to the needs of the Electric Cooperatives (ECs) and its MCOs as well as of the other players in the power industry.
Meanwhile, the event was made more meaningful as NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda and Atty. Janeene Depay-Colingan conveyed their sincerest congratulations to SIARELCO’s milestone through a video message. Both, who are known primemovers of rural electrification program and staunch supporters of ECs, lauded the dynamic leadership of Cong./GM Dagooc and the Board of Directors and the hard work of its employees for being instrumental in maintaining the outstanding performance of SIARELCO.
Atty. Xerxes D. Adzuara, Department Manager-Management and Consultancy Services at the Office of the National Electrification Administration also attended the event.
Other SIARELCO’s active partners in service, namely, Rev. Fr. Jeremias C. Jadulco, DCS, Parish Priest of Sto. Nino Parish Church, Dapa; Atty. Rionald J. Gonzales, SIARELCO Legal Counsel; and Ms. Mary Ann L. Sibonga, CPA, CrFA, External Auditor from Jill Santos & Company, were also in attendance.
An open forum, facilitated by Atty. Gonzales also took place. GM Dagooc himself answered the queries.
Attendees and audience online were also delighted when the raffle draw commenced.
This overwhelming support serves as a driving force for SIARELCO to continue its unwavering commitment to serving and underscores the unity of SIARELCO’s Member-Consumer-Owners in embracing its vision. Under the guidance of SIARELCO General Manager and APEC Partylist Representative, Sergio C. Dagooc, the Cooperative is dedicated to achieving even greater heights in the future.
